This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for- getting to talk to the owners themselves! Bro. Wyndom Wix and Eld. Anthony Barber came together and sat down with me for almost 3 hours to talk about not only why and how they started the barn, but also their most favorite stories and other memorable moments. In Podcast #4, they talk about what this haunted attraction was before it was ever the Westside Haunted Barn. They transition from about the year 2010, all the way up to 2015, when Westside Haunted Barn was born.
When I sat them down and asked them about their favorite moments and memories from the barn, they both said “We have 6 years worth of memories, you don’t have time for that!” I then retracted my statement and asked about the one that first come to mind. They relive these moments in the video “Not an Ordinary Haunted House,” and not only do they tell of funny stories, they also tell of touching stories.
Afterwards, we went across the road to the barn, and we walked through it and looked at what it had become. “When we started this journey,” Barber stated, “we were just a haunted hayride. And now, we’ve grown into a two-story haunted house. It’s unbelievable.” Not only did we laugh and share memories together, we walked and just admired what all we as a community have accomplished. We’ve given ourselves something to look forward to every October, as well as the rest of the community and our loyal customers. We took an old, rickity tobacco barn that was nothing but a catch-all at the time, and turned into something big. None of this would be possible without you all’s support, though. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to open every weekend and share these experiences with you.
So, in the final video (for now), I combined some of the highlights just from the past year at the barn. I hope you all at least consider coming out and not only supporting us and WWP, but also coming out to make memories.
